Wearing comfort and robustness
The advantage of a mesh wristband is the robustness as well as the cooling effect on hot summer days, meaning that the wearer does not sweat under it.
Operating principle of the automatic watch
Winding movement and power reserve
An automatic watch is a mechanical wristwatch in which the spring is wound up by a rotor in small increments whenever the wearer moves their arm. When you wear your automatic watch, a ball-bearing rotor vibrates with every handshake, grasp or wave. You can easily see the semi-circular rotor through the glass base. If an automatic watch is worn for the first time or stops because it has not been used for a long time, the watch can be activated simply by turning the crown. The power reserve is currently at around 36 hours.
Precision
In terms of precision, the automatic watch cannot compete with a quartz watch, which may run to -30 to +30 seconds deviation per day. The accuracy of automatic watches depends on a range of different factors. Temperature, air pressure and wearing method determine how exactly an automatic watch will run. However, the following principle applies in general: the more often you wear your watch, the more accurate the time.
Setting and a tip
If your watch runs incorrectly for more than 30 seconds per day, try to place it in different positions overnight. The imbalance, even if minimal, means that it is decisive whether the watch lies on the back, the crown side or the side facing away from the crown. This allows the watch to achieve a desired deviation of up to 30 seconds, depending on its position. It’s always worth trying out!
