When using a baby seat, BabyDam allows you to fill up a smaller area with a greater depth. When using a cradle, simply fill the area to the required depth, giving you a much more controlled area for baby to bathe in.

The plug is there to prevent overfilling, especially with a very young baby. When the child gets a little older, then put the plug in and fill it up a little more. Always keep the water level below the max fill line which is right at the top of the plug.
